A New Victory Against the Porn Industry
In December 2020, Pornhub underwent one of the largest purges of its content, due to activists’ concerns of sex trafficking and abuse. According to activist Laila Mickelwait, 91% of the videos on the platform were removed in this purge. Now, due to regulatory pressures, Pornhub will remove all unverified videos by June 30, 2025, representing a significant portion of the remaining 9% of videos on the platform.

In addition to the removal of unverified videos, Pornhub will now require all uploaders to fully verify their identities.
While an outright ban on porn is needed for the wellbeing of all women, these new restrictions are a tremendous victory against the porn industry. The margins for profit have been getting smaller and smaller for the porn industry as states and countries implement identity verification requirements for viewers. Increased requirements for uploaders will further damage the industry’s profits.
Remember that the fight is not done yet. While certain traffickers have been charged for uploading content to Pornhub, the owners of Pornhub have so far escaped unscathed. They must be brought to justice for their crimes and be imprisoned for human trafficking. No perpetrators of this vile industry should be immune to legal repercussions simply because of their wealth or social class.

Additionally, support laws that restrict porn in your states or countries. Encourage women’s education and independence, and let them know that their worth is in themselves, and not what men desire them for. Many women from all walks of life, 4B or not, are completely against porn. Let’s join together and take down this industry for good, for the future of all women. ♀
