Heteronormativity is More Dangerous Than Gender Ideology and Porn

If you’re a radical feminist, then you understand how dangerous gender ideology and porn are. We know that giving men even temporary access to women’s body is bad. Why then, do so many radical feminists still have boyfriends or husbands, who have permanent access to their bodies? No matter how gender critical or anti-porn a woman is, she is forever trapped if she is in a heterosexual relationship.

This is not to downplay the problems with porn or gender ideology. These are horrific industries that have caused the rapes and deaths of many women. But let’s look at the scale of things. There are around 2.1 million “transgender” people in America. There are 22,000 women that are being exploited in America’s porn industry. Meanwhile, there are 68 million married women in America.

You may say that women in heterosexual relations have a choice, while exploited women in the porn industry do not. But the truth is that coercion and rape occurs in almost all relationships with men. It’s just because it is so normalized under the patriarchy, that things like pressuring for sex by men are not often considered by women in heterosexual relationships to be rape. The truth is that all of our mothers and grandmothers were probably raped, multiple times.

Additionally, radical feminist theory will not protect women who are in relationships with men. From first hand accounts, radical feminists report the same types of abusive sexual behavior from men as any other type of women.

Furthermore, things like gender ideology and porn can never be eliminated if heteronormativity persists. If men constantly have permanent access to women’s bodies, the exploitive industries that are built around this can never go away. It is only once women on a wide scale say no to permanent access to their bodies that all of these exploitive industries can be dismantled.

Think about how gross you feel when you see something like the sex dolls that men have built. These things are awful and should be completely banned. You may see some women say things like “these men should get a real girlfriend.” Yet, in reality a man having sexual access to a real woman is millions of times worse than any sex doll. When men have sex with a girlfriend or a wife, there are extreme risks for the woman, including STDs and UTIs, the horrific process of pregnancy, damaged female immune systems from sperm contamination, and permanent bodily damage from violent penetration.

What about those women that say it’s not fair because we can’t change orientation? We are not asking for women to change their orientation. It just makes no sense to be obsessed with having a relationship with porn-addicted, unhygienic, violent males. Just because you are heterosexual, it doesn’t mean you need to date or be with men. You will not die or be lonely if you do not date men. Trying to date men is just hoping for something that will never work. It is something with no upsides and tons of downsides.

It’s not that men would become nice to women in heterosexual relationships if they stopped watching porn and became gender critical. It’s that men created porn and gender ideology because they have already been permanently exploiting women in heterosexual marriages, and porn and gender ideology are just ways that they could push this exploitation further.

We welcome the diligent efforts of activists that are fighting gender ideology and porn. The recent age verification laws on porn that are passing in many countries and states will help prevent many women from being exploited. But we have to remember the exploitation on the largest scale that even many radical feminists are not addressing. That is the exploitation that comes from being in heterosexual relationships with men.

The only way to be free as a woman is to be 4B. No sex with men, no giving birth, no dating men, and no marriage with men. ♀
