Leftist Politicians Are Cowards

To women, left-wing and right-wing men are often two sides of the same coin. While we’ve critiqued the right-wing extensively, it’s now time to address the left. Beyond their troubling positions on issues like sex work and transgender ideology, leftist men have another critical flaw: they are cowards.

Leftist male politicians have essentially handed Trump a free pass to authoritarian rule, as they are unwilling to take meaningful action. What’s the point of endlessly charging Trump with crimes if there’s no accountability? This only worsens the situation by showing the world that there are no consequences for his actions. Rules no longer seem to apply to figures like Trump and Elon Musk, who are free to do whatever they please without restraint. Meanwhile, leftist politicians continue to complain but fail to act. They will continue to complain the entire term to drum up votes out of fear, while they let Trump and billionaires continue to do whatever they want.

The far-right is gaining traction worldwide, but it’s not because they’re better for society. They are, after all, just as much servants to the oligarchs as anyone else. What the far-right has done, however, is identify and appeal to common-sense issues that leftist politicians have failed to address. They’ve highlighted issues like harmful gender ideology and the violence perpetrated by male migrant rapist gangs, something leftist men could have stood up to, but instead chose to ignore or deny.

Due to the cowardice of leftist male politicians, it’s only guaranteed that the far-right will eventually win in the United Kingdom, and European countries as well. This is a bad precedent for women, but women were not faring well under leftist male politicians either. Prostitution is legal in many European nations, and transgender ideology is enforced to a totalitarian degree in most left-run countries. Leftist men will continue to repeat the same behaviors, and then wonder why they are losing ground to the right.

At this point, it seems almost certain that Trump will rule until he dies. However, the sad truth is that a leftist male presidency would not have fared much better for women. While we will continue to criticize Trump for his corruption and crimes, we cannot overlook the fact that leftist men were complicit in his rise to power. Their inaction and cowardice allowed the far-right to gain ground, and their refusal to stand up for women’s rights has shown that politics, in general, has failed us.

What was the point of Joe Biden signing a TikTok ban, when trafficking platforms like Pornhub are still running rampant in the United States? It’s clear that the ban was not about ending foreign influence, but bowing down to Mark Zuckerburg’s demands. All Trump has to do is unban TikTok now, and he will receive guaranteed support of the young generation, many who will see him as a hero for saving their favorite app. Democrats have failed at every step and guaranteed Trump a complete dictatorship.

Both left and right have failed women. As such, we must reject the current political systems entirely. If there are radical feminist candidates at the local level, we should support them, but we cannot place our hopes in male-dominated politics. Whether leftist or right-wing, men view women as property. The only question is whether they view us as public or private property.

In the end, our liberation will not come from male politicians—on either side of the spectrum. It is time to focus on women-centered movements, like 4B, and take the fight for women’s rights into our own hands. Lower the birth rate, and don’t give men free labor or socialization. Let them rot in the system they created. ♀
