Men Against Men: The Cybercrime Industry of Men Scamming Men

Many of us know by now that men hate women. This is something that we have covered and will continue to cover, as it’s the main purpose of 4B. However, sometimes exposing male depravity means showing how men also don’t even like each other. Men don’t just work in collusion to oppress and harm women; they’re also actively sabotaging and scamming each other in massive ways, often for the sake of profit and personal gain. The cybercrime industry, particularly, is a space that primarily consists of men.

Credit Card Fraud

One of the most prevalent forms of cybercrime committed by men is credit card fraud. Men have created entire underground communities dedicated to stealing credit card information, often using high-tech devices like skimmers that are placed on ATMs or card readers to collect data from unsuspecting victims. These stolen credit card details are then used to commit fraudulent transactions or sold on the black market for profit.

The greed behind credit card fraud is stark. Men don’t think about the consequences their actions have on society as a whole—what matters is the immediate financial gain. When they can’t use the stolen information because of security measures, they often resell the card details to other men at a low price, continuing the cycle of fraud.

Men often justify credit card fraud by saying that the customer can just issue a chargeback. While a customer can indeed get their money returned by issuing a chargeback with their bank, not everyone knows how to complete this process. The process of initiating a chargeback is also time consuming, and the sudden loss of money can be very stressful. Additionally, someone has to cover the cost of fraud. As businesses are forced to absorb the costs of these fraudulent transactions, higher prices for consumers and the breakdown of trust in the financial system will result.

eWhoring: The Exploitation of Women’s Images

Another disturbing trend in the cybercrime world is eWhoring—an activity almost exclusively carried out by men. This scam involves stealing women’s photos and videos from the internet and then pretending to be them to extort money from other men. These fake “prostitutes” promise meetups, intimate encounters, and other services in exchange for money, exploiting men’s desires in the most cynical ways. Men seem to know how depraved other men are when it comes to sex, and those who participate in eWhoring may see other men as their ideal prey.

Many of the social media bots, fake profiles on platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, and Tinder, are male-run accounts posing as female prostitutes. Interestingly, some men who initially participate in these schemes eventually abandon them once they experience the horror of what being a woman online entails—unsolicited sexual messages, explicit penis photos, and the weight of being objectified by other men.

Refunding

Refunding is another scam run predominantly by men, a form of cybercrime with significant social ramifications. In refunding, men order items from online retailers, only to later claim the item was never delivered, asking for a refund. This scam has grown so prevalent that major retailers, like Amazon, have been forced to implement stronger systems to combat it.

Men always try to justify scams like these by saying that they are only hurting larger companies, but they forget about the delivery man, postal workers, support agents, and warehouse workers, who are in actuality the ones being punished for misplaced products. Refunding is a crime purely based on greed, not necessity. It is usually done by men to obtain things like the latest game consoles, new computers, or even luxury watches. Men fail to acknowledge the individuals at the bottom of the supply chain who pay the price for their endless consumerist greed.

Crypto Scams

Men continue to take advantage of financial systems in new and increasingly sophisticated ways. While cryptocurrencies had the early potential to democratize finance, they reality is that they’ve become hijacked by male scammers looking to exploit others for personal profit. Men are overwhelmingly involved in scams related to cryptocurrency, such as “rug pulls” and “pump-and-dump” schemes. These types of scams involve inflating the value of a currency artificially, only to sell off massive amounts once it’s at its peak, leaving unsuspecting buyers with worthless investments.

While many cryptocurrency scams are technically legal in some countries, they are nonetheless unethical, and these men continue to get away with it, contributing to the erosion of trust in the cryptocurrency community.

Women Are Not Part of This Problem

One thing remains in common when looking at these men’s scams. They represent men’s innate nature, being highly individualistic and greedy entities who will harm any women, or even other men in order to achieve more success themselves. Men’s lack of thought for others is why many of these scams are associated with mass spamming, and massive amounts of resources lost for their victims.

Men actually make the society they live in worse every time they “succeed” with a scam, they push society to be less trustworthy and more dangerous, but they hardly think of this when they have got their own gains. It also shows that men in poverty are not allies of women or anyone else. In fact, men from impoverished nations like India and Nigeria often make up a large portion of scammers on the internet. This is not to say that it isn’t prevalent in the United States and first world as well. Men across all walks of life, from the impoverished to the wealthy, engage in exploitative behavior. What we don’t see in this world of cybercrime is women participating—because it’s simply not in their nature.

It’s important to understand that women are not the problem. Men, driven by greed and a lust for control, have created a world where exploitation is the norm. Women, on the other hand, have shown time and time again that they can use technology and power in a responsible, compassionate way. When women finally take charge, we can expect a more ethical, fair, and just society—one where the cycle of exploitation is broken for good.

Female separatism provides a radical approach to achieving true freedom by establishing women-only spaces that reject patriarchal norms and empower women to live autonomously. No sex with men, no giving birth, no dating men, and no marrying men.
