Men’s obsession with ass has gone so far that it feels like they have some type of psychological syndrome! Yes, women have buttocks, and these are a normal part of our anatomy. Men however sexualize this body part to extreme degrees and make their entire life about ass!

Unfortunately men’s obsession with ass has changed how women view themselves. There is too much fitwear focused only on this body part. Women’s fitness has become derogatory and unfun. It wasn’t strength that was pushed towards us, but endless glute exercises to do so we could look pleasing to men.

On social media, do you feel positively represented by women’s fitness reels? I don’t. It’s all about ass. It’s not just exercising the ass, but padding the ass, filtering the ass, photoshopping the ass, and doing surgery on the ass! As women we want to believe we’re free from conditioning and that we do things for ourselves, but the ass trend is for men, not us. We’re reduced to our parts so that we aren’t human!

It’s not just fitness. The pornification is present in all types of social media content with women. Ass is constantly positioned and pushed into the frame to appeal to the male viewer. It seems like it’s the only thing that men want to click on!

The ass obsession isn’t fun and benign. Men see it as a way to normalize disgusting things like anal sex. I once had a boyfriend in high school who said he wanted to lick my ass right after I finished taking a shit! This type of disgusting behavior is too common among men now. They brag to each other about sickening acts like “eating ass” and forcing women into anal sex. I’ve heard them discuss these things in the lunch room or in class. They weren’t just satisfied to say it to themselves but they had to make sure that all of the female students could hear it too!

We aren’t just these parts that male see us as. We aren’t ass or tits. We are human females and we are a whole body and mind. When men try to dehumanize us, we must remember who we are and humanize ourselves. We don’t need surgeries or filters. Let’s reject sexist beauty standards and live as ourselves. There are many girls who look up to us and who depend on us as women. ♀
