Our Losses Will Become Our Greatest Victories

When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, many of us were caught off guard. For years, we had hoped that the rights we fought so hard for would remain protected, but the shocking decision revealed the deep-rooted desire to control women’s bodies that exists within our society. In the years that followed, we saw the depravity of men in full view, from the push for stricter abortion laws to the continued subjugation of women. It was always there, but social media and the political climate exposed it more than ever before. Though we weren’t ready for it, we quickly mobilized. Feminist values spread like wildfire, and many women woke up to the truth—they realized they didn’t need men to live fulfilling lives.

In the future, we will be ready. If conservatives push forward with a nationwide abortion ban or implement laws that restrict no-fault divorce, we won’t be taken by surprise. These will be significant setbacks, but we will turn them into opportunities for growth. If a nationwide abortion ban is enacted, the 4B movement will grow 10 times more than it is now. It will grow even faster than it did when Trump was elected. 4B entered the mainstream, but expect it to become something much larger still.

In the long term, we will win. Women will choose to live independently on a massive scale, casting away all the institutions men have created to keep us in line. Men can try to oppress us legally or attempt to control us through force, but none of it will matter. Birth rates will continue to drop, and the more men try to restrict our bodies, the faster those rates will fall. With every oppressive law they pass, they only push more women toward the 4B movement. The more they try to control us, the more our power grows. Men drive more women towards 4B with their bad policies than we could ever do on our own.

When women see the lengths men are willing to go to in order to control them, even the staunchest pro-sex worker women will begin to reject the idea of having sex with men. Even the most conservative women will no longer want to marry men.

Our losses will not define us—they will fuel our victories. As we face these challenges, we will rise stronger, more united, and ready to create a world where women live freely, without the constraints of patriarchal control. We are no longer waiting for change—we are the change. And as men continue to push against us, we will keep growing, spreading, and empowering more women to choose independence. The future is ours. ♀
