The World Will Never Improve Unless We Stop Having Children
Men’s relentless desire to have more children—driven by notions of “legacy” and “dominance”—has pushed the world to the brink of resource scarcity and widespread poverty. While the rising costs of living, such as housing, daycare, and food, have deterred many men in the first world from having children, the solution is not simply lowering these costs.
The problem isn’t the cost of living—it’s the very act of having children in the first place. We should not view it that the cost of living is making it difficult to have children. We should view it that the world’s vast inequality is the direct results of overpopulation and unsustainable growth. If things were to get cheaper, men would only use the opportunity to birth more children, ultimately leading us back to the same issue. We are where we are now because housing and daycare were once cheaper, and men chose to push the system to the maximum by exploiting women’s bodies. This cycle must be broken.
True long-term change will only happen when women completely reject the idea of having children with men. Many women are already making this choice, but others remain trapped by the false hope that lowering costs or working fewer hours will somehow solve the issue. We should avoid thinking like men. We must abandon the belief that having children is a necessary or even desirable response to improving economic conditions. It’s time to adopt a mindset that even in a world of lower costs and easier living, we will still choose not to have children. We will never have children.
For too long, we’ve been conditioned by men to sacrifice our bodies and futures for the sake of their patriarchal desires. Men contribute nothing to the process of childbirth and childrearing, yet they have convinced us to carry all of the burdens. It’s time we stop this cycle of self-destruction. If men can ejaculate and walk away, then we should choose to do nothing for them in return. The power lies in our refusal to participate in their plans for procreation and control. ♀
