You Are Not a Birth Slave For Men
When men lament about the declining birth rates leading to potential extinction or economic collapse, they are essentially asserting that women must become breeding vessels for male interests. It’s not men who will carry the child, endure the trauma of pregnancy and childbirth, or deal with the aftermath. They simply stand by, letting women suffer and be enslaved, all while planning how children will serve their future—a future shaped by their desires, not the well-being of women.
The issues of extinction or a struggling economy should never be seen as problems that should be solved using women’s bodies. As long as these ideas persist, men will continue to attempt to oppress women, whether directly through force or indirectly through propaganda and societal pressure.
The state of society, the poverty, starvation, and suffering we face, has been shaped by men’s actions. The soaring birth rates, driven largely by men, are a part of the problem, not the solution. Adding more children to the world only feeds into the same exploitative systems. Men’s sperm, men’s actions, and the violence men enact have created these challenges. Women can change the course of this by choosing to abstain from being controlled by such systems.
Any time a man uses birth rates as a tool to push women into motherhood, he’s attempting to make women—make you—a slave to his interests. He may disguise his demands with various justifications, but any rhetoric that insists birth rates must increase is simply advocating for the enslavement of women.
